Worried that your Kid Power Band isn't working right? Check out these troubleshooting tips to get you back up and running in no time!
Use either a little bit of rubbing alcohol or soapy water to dampen a soft cloth. Take the Display out of the band (to take the display off of the band, pull the band straight away from the display until the band pops off), and wipe it down with the cloth. Next dry the display off with dry cloth.
Double check charging
Next connect the display (that is now out of the band) directly to a working charger, ensuring that the two metal contact points on the display are connecting with the prongs on the charger. We find that charging issues are normally either gummed up charging holes in the band (clean the band with soapy water) and/or corroded contact points on the display (clean with q-tip and rubbing alcohol). It is also a good idea to test using a different charging method (i.e. connect the charger to a different usb and/or power source) if you're having trouble getting your UNICEF Kid Power Band to charge.
If you have more than one Kid Power Band try to narrow down what isn't working by switching the charger/display pairing. It may seem like the display isn't working when in reality perhaps the charger has malfunctioned and therefore the display is only out of battery, etc.
If you've tried all of the above and your Kid Power Band just isn't working and your Kid Power Band is less than a year old it may be covered by our Guarantee.
