Being a member of the UNICEF Kid Power Team means that you’re getting active and saving lives all day long! Here’s how to care for your Kid Power Band so it stays in tiptop shape!
We recommend regularly taking off your Kid Power Band to clean both your wrist and the band - especially after playing hard and sweating! We'll let you decide how to clean your wrist, but for the Kid Power Band we recommend rinsing it with water and then giving it a light rub down with rubbing alcohol. Soaps and antibacterial cleansers are not recommended as they could irritate the skin. Last, always make sure that the Kid Power Band is dry before putting it back on.
It’s important to wear the Kid Power Band loosely enough that there is plenty of air flow between the Kid Power Band and your skin--if worn too tightly a rash may develop where the Kid Power Band blocks airflow to your skin.
Take a break
To avoid skin irritation from your Kid Power Band, please follow the steps above to keep your Kid Power Band clean. If your skin still starts to get irritated take a break from it for a few days.
